About Stable Leadership
Karen Tearney has spent more than 20 years navigating corporate life, leading teams across continents and time zones, as well as within tight-knit, family-run businesses. From global enterprises to small local businesses, she understands the very real pressures of leadership and teamwork. She knows that doing it well is critical—not just for business performance, but also for personal wellbeing.
Over the years, Karen took part in countless traditional leadership and teamwork programs, but no matter how many frameworks or models she learned, they rarely seemed to stick when it mattered most. The real world—full of pressure, pivots, and unpredictability—demanded something deeper.
That's when she realised that her most powerful teachers had been waiting in the paddock all along.
As an Equine Facilitated Therapist, Karen and her herd bring a new kind of leadership to life with teamwork, empathy and trust at the core of the program.

This unique framework empowers individuals to explore responsibility, relationships, and communication through real-time, experiential learning with immediate feedback.

Leadership and Team Development Workshops
Our workshops are hosted in south-west of Western Australia, just 10 minutes west of Margaret River and 5 minutes from the ocean. We spend time outside in the paddock (appropriate clothing should be considered).
We have beautiful accommodation options just moments from the property, and can assist with restaurants, wineries and other packages if required.
Our programs are tailored to meet the needs of each client. We work with small groups - up to 6 participants - and offer both half-day and full-day sessions. Refreshments are provided. Workshop fees are available on request.
H.E.R.D. Teamwork Series
Harmonised. Engaged. Resilient. Dynamic.
This equine-guided series helps teams thrive through authentic connection, non-verbal communication, and mutual trust. Horses model the subtle yet powerful relational dynamics that support high-functioning teams—without words, they teach us how to move together, respond under pressure, and lead from wherever we are.
These half-day or full-day sessions offer powerful, practical learning through movement, reflection, and connection — no horse experience needed.

A progressive journey for current and emerging managers and executives ready to lead with clarity, empathy and trust, guided by the principles of the herd.
Workshops focus on key elements of relational leadership, supporting participants to lead with integrity, presence and adaptability in an ever-changing environment. These sessions offer transformational experiences with immediate and honest feedback straight from the horses mouth. No horse experience needed. Full or half day workshops available.
